Setting Up Protection

AriseAds Invalid Clicks Protection is very easy to set up. Follow these simple steps to protect your ads from invalid clicks:

On the Ads Protection module page, navigate to the Protection Settings section.

Ad Classes

The ad classes field is used to specify the CSS classes that wrap your ad code. AriseAds considers any element with the specified classes as an ad and protects it from invalid clicks.

Enter the classes of the ads you want to protect, without the dot (.).

Separate multiple classes with commas.

Example: If your ads are wrapped in <div class="my-ad-class"> or <ins class="adsbygoogle"> You would enter: my-ad-class, adsbygoogle.

By default, AriseAds protects elements with the classes ariseads-protect and adsbygoogle. Therefore, you can skip this step if you use Google AdSense ads on your website, as it’s already covered by default.

If you are unsure of your ad code class or can’t find a class, no worries, simply wrap your ad codes with <div class="ariseads-protect">...your ad code...</div>.

Allowed Clicks

The allowed clicks field is used to specify the maximum number of clicks allowed per visitor before they are blocked. E.g., if you enter 3, a visitor can click on the ad 3 times before they are blocked.

Enter a number (e.g., 3).

This limits the number of times a single visitor can click on protected ads within a specified time window.

Click Time Window

The click time window field is used to specify the period in hours during which the allowed clicks are counted. E.g., if you enter 24 click time window and 3 allowed clicks, a visitor can click on the ad 3 times within 24 hours before they are blocked.

Enter a number (e.g., 24).

If a visitor exceeds the allowed clicks within this time window, they will be blocked.

Block Duration

The block duration field is used to specify the duration in days that a visitor should be blocked if they exceed the click limit. E.g., if you enter 1 block duration, a visitor will be blocked for 1 day if they exceed the click limit.

Enter a number (e.g., 1).

During this period, blocked visitors won’t see your protected ads when they visit your website.

Save Settings

After configuring your preferences, click the “Save Changes” button at the bottom of the page.

Monitoring Blocked IPs

To view and manage blocked IP addresses:

Click on the “Ban List” or “Ban Report” button at the top of the Ads Protection settings page.

This will show you a list of all blocked IPs, including their location, click count, and ban/unban times.

You can manually unban IPs from this page if needed.

By following these steps, you’ll have successfully set up Invalid Click Protection for your ads, helping to prevent fraud and protect your ad revenue.
