Setting Up Sticky Ads on your Website

AriseAds Sticky Ads feature allows you to display ads that stick to the top or bottom of the page as users scroll. Follow these simple steps to set up your sticky ads:

  1. Navigate to the AriseAds settings page in your WordPress admin panel.
  2. Click on the “Sticky Ads” tab.

Ad Code

  1. Find the “Ad Code” field.
  2. Paste your ad code (HTML, JavaScript, or shortcode) into this textarea. E.g your Google AdSense ad unit code. Recommended ad size is 720x90 for sticky ads.
  3. This is the ad that will be displayed in the sticky position.

Sticky Position

  1. Locate the “Sticky Position” dropdown.
  2. Choose either “Top” or “Bottom” to determine where your ad will stick on the page.

Close Button

  1. Find the “Hide Close Button” checkbox.
  2. If you want users to be able to close the sticky ad, leave this unchecked.
  3. If you want the ad to remain visible at all times, check this box.

Styling

The styling section allows you to customize the appearance of your sticky ad to make it more attention grabbing:

  1. Background Color: Choose the background color for the sticky ad container.
  2. Text Color: Select the color for any text within the ad container.
  3. Border Color: Pick a color for the border of the sticky ad (if desired).
  4. Close Button Style (if not hidden):
  • Background Color: Set the color of the close button.
  • Text Color: Choose the color of the “X” on the close button.

Display Settings

Control where your sticky ad appears:

Show on specific pages:

    • Homepage: Check to show on the main page of your site.
    • Search page: Check to display on search results pages.
    • Single Post types: Check to show on individual posts/pages/custom post types
    • Category page: Check to display on category archive pages.
    • Tag / archive pages: Check to show on tag and other archive pages.

    Hide on Devices:

      Use the dropdown to select which devices (Desktop, Tablet, Mobile) should not display the sticky ad.

      Hide for Logged-in Users:

        Check this box if you don’t want to show the sticky ad to users who are logged into your site.

        Save Settings

        After configuring your preferences, click the “Save Changes” button at the bottom of the page.

        Tips for Effective Sticky Ads

        • Use responsive ad code to ensure your ad looks good on all devices.
        • Be mindful of ad size, especially for mobile devices.
        • Consider user experience when deciding on the sticky position and whether to include a close button.
        • Test your sticky ad on different devices and page types to ensure it’s displaying correctly.
